Topic: An overview of some of the features that have made Python a
welcoming place for a sysadmin

Speaker: Brian Jones

Location: Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library,
Community Room 2

Description:

A overview of some of the features that have made Python a pretty
welcoming place for a sysadmin who doesn't consider themselves much of a
programmer. It's for people who are interested in Python but haven't
used it yet, or haven't seen it, and don't have time to read a whole
book about it.

Coverage includes some of the tools and modules available in a
standard Python distribution, some niceties afforded by Python's object
model, proof that you can still write procedural code if you want, the
interactive Python interpreter, places to go for more in-depth coverage.

Brian would also like to take questions/comments from the mailing
list before the meeting and try to work new stuff into the talk based on
your questions/comments.

Take a break from the daily routine and meet with friends and colleagues.
