> RESPONSIBILITIES:

> -- Install and configure Linux operating systems on newly acquired
> hardware.
> -- Daily monitoring and maintenance of over 70 Linux servers.
> -- Perform back-up, file replications and script management for servers.
> -- Configure new servers and network devices while documenting the
> implementation.
> -- Follow standard operating procedures while maintaining validated
> servers.
> -- Assist with the installation of off-the-shelf applications and document
> the installation procedures.
> -- Provide Customer support via telephone, email, and other tools.
> -- Administer servers; manage user accounts, folders, email accounts and
> printers.
> -- Learn to operate network management and monitoring tools to identify
> and assist in resolving potential security, reliability, capacity, and
> performance issues.
> -- Administer patch management to all servers following proper change
> control procedures.
> -- Provide timely status updates to Network Operations manager and IT
> management.
> -- Perform other job related duties as required.

> Skills/Knowledge Required:
>
> -- 5+ years Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience.
> -- Red Hat Certification is preferred.
> -- High Availability and failover scenarios, lead balanced environments.
> -- Solid experience with multi-server environment/deployments.
> -- Strong working knowledge of IBM storage environments (SAN, NAS).
> -- Occasional late-night maintenance, alone at the corporate facilities,
> is required.
> -- Must be able to physically lift and move computers and printers.
> -- Travel between all NJ locations is necessary.
