Where is a good HW-SIG when you need one ;)

Never used any bluetooth devices so I'm at a loss
for debugging.

Got a Dell laptop with builtin bluetooth capability.

Figured on using a Logitech bluetooth travel mouse
so I wouldn't have to play with usb dongles.

When I try to get the two talking I get no indication
that the laptop sees any bluetooth devices.  As I've
no other bluetooth capable things (well, does a cell
phone and ear bud count?) I can't tell whether it is
the laptop or the mouse not working.

Any debugging hints, Ubuntu or WinXP.
