DNS Vulnerability: Patch Now or Pay Later

Plus: Best Practices for Microsoft DNS/DHCP

Dear Colleagues -

Have you looked at the news lately? DNS exploits are now well known and it
is more critical than ever to understand EXACTLY how they expose your
applications. Core network services - like DNS, DHCP, and IPAM -are critical

to network uptime and application support, yet they rarely receive the
attention given to other areas of the network. The loss of DNS service can
cripple Microsoft Active Directory and can bring most other network
applications to a halt. Interruptions to DHCP services can make it
impossible for PCs, IP phones and other devices to connect to the network.

Join DNS expert Cricket Liu for an interactive discussion on the very latest

information about recently discovered flaws in DNS software, plus a session
on best practices architecture for DNS and DHCP, specifically for Microsoft
environments. Together, we will:

*Sort through the latest announcements about Dan Kaminskys DNS findings;
details on how cache poisoning really works, why it matters, and what you
should be doing about it
*Discuss challenges in Microsoft DNS/DHCP management, auditing, and
reporting - and evaluate options
*Discuss the inadequacies of the Microsoft DNS and DHCP solutions for
enterprise-class management
*Develop an action plan for deploying these practices in your own
environment

WHERE:

Microsoft Conference Center, 1290 Avenue of the Americas, 6th Floor, New
York, NY 10019. Event will take place in the "Belvedere Castle" Room.
