corporation in southern New Jersey is looking for an experienced Unix
Administrator with excellent Linux skills. The following is a description of
the general environment, responsibilities and requirements for the position:
Responsibilities:
. UNIX hardware and software Maintenance
. Enterprise Production Unix/Linux System Administration
. IBM SAN (DS4700 and DS6800)
. IBM series (AIX 5x/6x)
. HACMP
. Advanced Unix Shell Scripting
. Demonstrated experience troubleshooting AIX and IBM series hardware
. Working knowledge of Linux and SAN
. Experience operating in a 24 / 7 corporate data center environment
. Plan and Implement all Unix Updates, Upgrades to Hardware and software in
timely fashion
. Routinely handle bugs, network configuration problems and assistance
w/complex product configurations, performance tuning & optimization.
. Third Tier support for UNIX/Application issues
. Must work closely with Telecom and Network administrator for
troubleshooting
. This position includes **on-call** rotation schedule for after-hours
problem and resolution and escalation
Qualifications:
. Bachelor's Degree required.
. 5-10 yrs UNIX Experience.
. Linux experience is required; knowledge of IBM AIX Unix is a plus
. MCSE or CCNA or CAN is a plus
Candidate should be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Only local
candidates will be considered.
